When I was younger, Uncle Thomas was our favourite Sunday school teacher.
He possessed a kind and helpful demeanour, always willing to lend a hand.
However, one day, a group of playful children jumped on him, causing him to fall and injure his back. Like Uncle Thomas, we all carry heavy burdens, whether family drama, work stress, supporting our friends, or randomly feeling sad for strangers. It can become overwhelming and harmful to our overall well-being.
Are you feeling drained by responsibilities that are sapping your energy?
It's time you face the music and tell yourself the truth.
Taking a break, declining burdens, and practising self-care may be a solution.
Remember that God doesn't want us to bear unproductive loads.
See this month as an opportunity to rethink and prioritize, reevaluating your goals and values. Have a heart-to-heart conversation with someone you trust and express your need for support.
And who knows, maybe, It's time to let go of your ego and recognize that not everyone can be superhuman, no matter how hard they try.
Have a wonderful September
Esther
